The Tangata Whenua Crew present a Saturday afternoon program with Professor Jimmy George and Jahan ‘Tūhoe’ Tyson.
The two hour show includes discussions about international, national, and Sydney stories as well as sports and the arts to keep you in the know and get you in the mood for your weekend.
Looking across the ditch to Aotearoa, Tangata Whenua keeps a First Nation’s eye on issues of the day and serves up a funky gumbo of musical genres from Dub-Roots Reggae to Future House and NeoSoul with brand new jams and classic tracks.
With varied guests and spotlights on changing subjects, Tangata Whenua is your weekly kōrero with the Aussie iwi.

Doctor Jimmy George is the longest continuous broadcaster on Koori Radio. He’s been talking sports, politics and music going all the way back to Radio Redfern. Kaumātua of Ngāti Bondi, his voice for First Nations’ concerns, persists.
Jahan
Jahan ‘Tūhoe’ Tyson brings his takatāpui energy to the desk. Poet, writer and singer, his work with Koori Radio is all about honouring the Tangata Whenua of land he’s spent his entire life on, the Gadigal People of the Eora Nation.
