NAIDOC In The City 2023


Saturday 8 July | 11am to 3pm | Hyde Park North 

NAIDOC in the City is a free celebration of the world’s longest living cultures – Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Take a stroll through Hyde Park to discover food, song, art, dance and stories in the heart of the city. 

 Everyone is invited to experience the traditional games from various First Nations communities and peoples.  Touch, hear, see and move in these fun activities suitable for all ages.  Performance details and full event schedule will be available soon.  

NAIDOC in the City is proudly presented by Gadigal Information Service Aboriginal Corporation in partnership with the City of Sydney.  

NAIDOC Week celebrates the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. NAIDOC Week is celebrated by all Australians and is a great opportunity to learn more about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. The theme for 2023 is ‘For Our Elders’.

T1 FOOD - $300 [6x6m Footprint]

An Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander business that sells food / consumable goods to the public during the event. An Aboriginal &/or TSI person must be the primary owner/ operator of the business.

T1 MERCH - $250 [2.4x2.4m Footprint]

An Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander business that sells tangible goods (packaged food, art, merchandise, apparel) to the public during the event. An Aboriginal &/or TSI person must be the primary owner / operator of the business.

T1 ORG - $400 [2.4x2.4m Footprint]
An Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander owned &/or primarily operated organisation the functions to primarily serve Aboriginal &/or TSI communities without generating profit. This organisation relies on donations &/orGovernment support to function.


T2 FOOD - $500 [6x6m Footprint]

A business that sells food / consumable goods to the public during the event.


T2 MERCH - $300 [2.4x2.4m Footprint]

A business that sells tangible goods (packaged food, art, merchandise, apparel) to the public during the event.


T2 ORG - $800 [2.4x2.4m Footprint]

An organisation (for profit) or not-for-profit. This assists/supports Indigenous communities but not solely or exclusively.
